We've always wanted to own our own business. We had been searching for a couple of years for the perfect place to take over. In late October of 2010, we lucked out and found what was then The Bagel House, a small shop with a lot of potential. We knew that with some elbow grease to fix up the restaurant and upgrades to the menu and the food, we could have a business that we'd really be proud of. On January 27, 2011, the shop officially became ours!

Our goal from the start was to make sandwiches that we would want to eat ourselves at home. Brian brought his five years experience working for a BBQ restaurant and the BBQ competition circuit to take the food to a new level. The first order of business was to upgrade all of the meat products offered on sandwiches. Our chicken salad is made from chicken that is baked in the store, our ham comes from homemade spiral baked ham and the servings are extremely generous. This also gave us an opportunity to showcase Pam's baking talents with some of the most incredible baked goods that you can find anywhere. Many of the baked goods that you will find in our store are from old family recipes. Our selection is always changing since everything is homemade, but some of our staples are Jewish apple cake, sourdough walnut crumb cake, danishes, fudge brownies and banana bread with cream cheese frosting. As for our bagels, they speak for themselves. Try them and you'll see what we mean.

Our favorite part of owning Second Street Bagels is interacting with our wonderful customers, although we don't really look at them as customers because many have become more like friends. We love our regulars and to see the new faces from Southampton. The longer we're here, the more we love our town. Our goal is to have fun with everyone who comes in the door and provide them with one of the best bagel or bagel sandwiches anywhere. Come in and meet us! We'd love to meet more of the wonderful people from the Southampton area and share our food that we're so proud of.
